Dear Gel..Pt.14

To date, I've attended more than 10 weddings of my friends. There was even one year when I attended 5 weedings during my christmas break. Yes, that many huh. Some that I was not able to attend,I still gave them wedding gift. And yes, most of the time I dont know what present to buy for them.

Some very common items that I see people buy as presents ; photo frame, photo album, electrical goods, decorations.

But what I do need actually is just their presence and support during my day. To see them coming and celebrating with me is a pure joy. Yes, I am still cynical about relationships even as I am entering a new phase of my own life. I am not cynical of my new phase of life, rather I am excited and curious about it. But what I'm cynical about is the relationships that I have with some friends that I have.

I could see the many changing patterns in my relationships with them. Some may come,and some may go. But the true ones will always stay,no matter how far they can be. And some who are very near may not be the ones who will stay.

As much as I want to be lazy today, I had to do quite a number of things around the house. I woke up quite late and after awhile, I started doing things around the house. 3 cycles for the washing machine. First for my ordinary clothes, second for the bed sheet,pillowcases and blanket,third was for the soiled linens such as the mat. An extra cycle was to clean the tub,if done once a month could keep the washing machine clean and healthy! Says the instruction booklet,sort of.

Then the folding of the clothes. Then the vacuuming. Then the mopping. Then the defrosting of the fridge. I only finished doing those stuff at 730pm and by then I was soo hungry and tired. Mimik came though while I was mopping and I fed her her biscuits. Oh by the way, mimik is my adopted cat. Yes, there is such a thing as an adopted cat. I just did it. We had marvellous time together. In fact, this year, I celebrated my birthday with her...huhuhu..it was only mimik and me...2 big candles..8 small ones..on a milo can..just me and my mimik...I blew the candles..mimik just loked at me...not from far but very near...I sang birthday song to myself..mimik just looked at me..yeah...thats my mimik...I love mimik..

And now that I'm so tired,I just wish someone would massage my body..especially my back..its aching..tired..need rest...so,until tomorrow...

It rained cats and dogs today. Sooo coldd!!! I was not quite productive in the lab,as tomorrow is another public holiday for us in selangor,and I felt lazy to do anything. I took a late lunch and since I don't feel like having anything heavy, I went to my favourite place - mcD!!

I went to the new place,the one with the drive-thru since I was so lazy to park and walk in to order my food. The moment I reached the place I saw that the menu had been changed. No more mcShaker fries!! No more happy meal with the madagascar toys!! Huahhh... Bee, you cant have mcShaker fries because they don't offer it anymore. Instead they are offering the prosperity meal. I dont eat prosperity meals. I had it once. I had enough with that one serving. Huhu..no more mcShaker....

Tomorrow,I'm going to be lazy.I'm going to spend the whole day being lazy...uuuu,nice..

Today I can afford to be lazy. I woke up late. Yeah, it's a public holiday. Another public holiday for us in selangor is this thursday due to the sultan of selangor's birthday. So I can afford another day of kemalasan, hehhe..

What did I do today....hmm...the major activity was cleaning my fridge. Yeah,serious...hari mencuci peti sejuk. Well, I did not defrost it,just cleared up the space inside. Huh,messy...who would have thought that I have been a penternak kulat-kulat in that small fridge that I have. Luckily the kandang kulat was confined in the unopened packages in the fridge. It never emitted any foul smell, so I think thats why it never occured to me to throw those things away. It just so happened that I saw a few strips of expired medicines,so I decided to go through the things in my fridge. So yalah..I threw away expired things such as:

• sweets
• medicines
• chocolates
  
• cencaluk
• 'kauk do-ot'

Well, only the sweets and medicines are expired. The food items were not expired. I just didn't want to keep them anymore,so I decided to throw them away. No point keeping them when I know I will not eat them.

Maybe this thursday I will defrost it. Have to wake up early lah if I want to do that. It takes the whole morning for it to defrost completely. Oh well...

It rained the whole day. My clothes are still outside..still wet..and not dry&crisp.Hmm..hope tomorrow it will not rain.

It's sunday and tomorrow being a public holiday due to hari raya haji, the road should be clear and lesser traffic jams on those normally busy roads. But, I dont think so. Because it's a public holiday,and it's also the school holidays, I doubt there will be any peace on the road. In fact I expect it to be a lot more chaotic than usual. It's not a nice feeling to be trapped in the car during a massive traffic jam. It's suffocating actually..even with your favourite tune or if your loved ones are in the same car. It's the feeling of being right in the middle of SOOO MANY CARS that makes me uneasy.

I have that uneasy feeling,being in a crowd..sort of an anxiety attack,whenever I'm in public. I have not always been like this. I think only just for the past 2 years that I've had that kind of feeling. Something that I can't describe..even until now. I guess that's why I would rather stay at home on weekends or public holidays than going out and face the crowd. Too many uncertainties. I need stability. At times I think I'm going crazy. But stability does not guarantee sanity. So howla?

As for tomorrow, I think I'll just stay in...eat,drink,surf the net,watch astro...probably go out for lunch..or maybe not...the weather is unpredictable nowadays..always raining..drizzling..not too good to go out but very nice to stay indoors...ahh,life...

Ahh..a long weekend..woke up late and did some stuff before I went out to have lunch and to catch up with Doreen. We had kolo mee! Yay! The place was at Pandan Indah and the taste of the kolo mee there is almost the same as the one at home.So okay la I think..melepaskan kerinduan..

So today I received a gift from Doreen. Its for my Bee&I. The first person to give us a gift. Let me show what she gave...


It's pink&purplish. But since my mattress here is single, I have to bring it back to kuching lah, can't use it here.

Tomorrow is sunday. And monday is a public holiday. Have to do some cleaning around the house. A lot of things to throw away. Huhh...

Dear Gel, today is friday and its a good beginning to a long weekend. Yes, next monday is a public holiday. And next week, those in selangor will enjoy another day of public holiday on thursday because it is the sultan's birthday. Yippee!!! Only 3 working days!!!

I've been quite lazy today. I didn't even go in the lab even though I told Bee that I'll be doing some cleaning in the lab. Hah! I went to klia instead,to pick up cards from Bee's dad. And the first person to receive the invitation card from me was kak nina! yay! yep,she was thrilled. Then to the other 2 ladies in the office.

Oooohh...it was a lazy afternoon too. It rained heavily. It was cold outside. Even colder inside. It wasn't long until it was time to go home. When I reached home, the rain had stopped,the air was cool,mimik nowhere to be seen. But I don't mind. I just want to be home,sit,relax,eat,lay down....

And because I was too lazy to prepare anything in the kitchen, I ordered dominos. Yay! My favourite! I bought a large beef mania pizza with 2 boxes of cinnastix(MY FAVOURITE!!) with icing and a box of hot&spicy chicken. But the delivery guy came late..I was already so damn hungry...so when he finally came, it was such a joy to hear the knockings on the door with him loudly saying ' DOMINOS!'. When I opened the door, he handed me the boxes of food,and then he said..'sebab kami lambat...', and then he handed me a free regular pizza voucher. Okay. They admitted they were late,so,its okay,im okay with it,at least they say sorry. You can never go wrong by saying sorry. But must mean what you say la. If its done just because you were forced to say so,it would be very obvious and it will further offend the other person. Hmm,so yalah..that last line was a bit off from the pizza story..sorry ah Gel, a bit off track.

So full!! Still have 3 slices of pizza in the box. That will be my breakfast tomorrow. And the cinnastix too!

I'm done for today. Until tomorrow...

Wahhhh!!!! Today I finally had the chance to eat Move It McFlurry!!! And McShaker Fries!!! After not being able to get those items when I went to the new McD drive-thru last Monday evening, I finally got it today!!! Yayy!!! It was good!!! Marvellous!!! Sodap..sodap..

But I had to go to the old Bangi McD at Warta complex. No, the building is not old. But McD has been there for as long as I could remember..4,5 years maybe? The crowded space does not appeal to me. I have to park quite far just to go to McD. But with the new McD near PKNS building, they have a drive-thru,so it is soooo convenient to go there. However, because the establishment, the building and the crew are quite new,they always ran out of stock of stuff...like hashbrown for example. Adaka they can ran out of hashbrown for their breakfast meals last week when it was not even 11am? I think it was only 10-ish when we arrived there."Sorry kak, hashbrown dah abis..kite org ganti dengan fries yek?" Haih, I wouldn't go to McD for breakfast if it wasn't for the hashbrown. But since we were already there,apa boleh buat,just get lah! But ah,then ahh,half way eating and drinking and talking....a lalat bunuh diri in my cup of tea. Yes, it died in my cup. I remembered there were quite a number of lalats there...so,eee..donno lah...not clean? or not clean enough? But the lady at the counter gladly got me a new cup of tea when I showed her the dead lalat in my cup. So it was okay..no big deal...but they have to do something with the rest of the lalat though...

The McD i went to this afternoon was very near to the place where I had to get some papers certified. Hmm, oh joy...the troubles I had to go through after meeting that lady...uuu...sunguh menyakitkan hati...I think she's like a clerk with a fancy title but earning big bucks. But the thought that she asked me to type the format of her declaration and put my own essay into the format really ticked me off. I was at her office. I had to go back to my office just to type the few lines. Go back to her office an hour later to submit the declaration for her to sign. But......she wasn't in the second time around. Arghhh!!! HAMPEH! BANGANG! ish ish ish...I had to ring her up and asked her what time will she be back...ayoooo....why cant she give me the soft copy of the format in the first place? I was holding my thumb drive. I asked for a softcopy so that I could work on it at some nearby cafe and print it from the kedai. Things that made me angry that time were: 1.Its not that I asked her to type the format for me. 2.I dont expect her to print it out. 3.I dont believe that she does not know how to operate a computer because I could see a big monitor on her table,in front of her. What monitor could that be? TV ka? Anyway, since then, I've found another place where people can go to see a pesuruhjaya sumpah. The one at that bangi place ahh...ermm...she had the masam face all 3 times I went to her..so yalah..

I' sleepy..I'm tired..until tomorrow lah...

Dear Gel..Pt.4

Today when I was driving to work, I saw a group of stray dogs. The mother and 3 juvenile kids. Sadly, one of the kid was berkurap and not in good shape. Not that the rest of them are healthy looking anyway but what caught my attention was when the kid with the kurap stopped to garu-garu its body. The mother stopped and so were the other 2 kids..they waited for the kurap one to stop scratching and when it finally did,it joined the rest of the clan and together they ran towards a semak samun. Hmm,sweet..the mother and the 2 kids waited for the one left behind. It happened twice..he stopped once,garu,walk for a bit,then stop again to garu the itch,done with the scratching and finally joined the mother and the siblings. Hmm...nice..the waiting part,not the garu-garu part.

Meanwhile in the office, a colleague was informed that she just got the scholarship to pursue her masters. yippee!! 1 good news among the bad ones that I've heard for the past few days. At least someone is making a progess. At least a dream has been fulfilled. At least...

Gel, I ate chicken rice for lunch today. The sauce was nice. RM3.50. I dont remember when was the last time I ate chicken rice...maybe a few months back? Emm,dont remember...Then i bought cut fruits-pineapple,jambu,watermelon,banana...mmmm,not nice,except for the pineapple.It was juicy,sweet and sour at the same time. Havent had those for quite some time too..

When I was on my way home this evening, there was a very bad traffic jam,somewhere near sg.Tangkas approaching Hentian Kajang. It wasn't massive,but it was bad because I hate to be trapped in traffic jams! Apalagik la yg jem tok...ada lembu melintas kali...huhuhu...when I approached Hentian Kajang area,only then I saw a badly damaged mini van. And there was a guy stretched on the road. There were policemen,there was an ambulance too. But I wonder why wasn't the guy be brought to the hospital...what else to wait? The guy was injured,the ambulance was there,people started crowding around that area..looking..talking..whispering..a dark cloud approaching that place and then it drizzled. After the spot where the accident happened, the road was clear. It was the drivers who purposely slowed down to LOOK and STARE at those people who were involved. Poor them...these drivers only tolong one thing..TOLONG TENGOK ajak..dah la men-yelow-kan traffic..in the words of a fellow semenanjungian, hampeh.

Haihhh...I'm sleepy..maybe I should stop for now...sleepy...tired..want to sleep...

Dear Gel.Yes, I've changed the title to 'Dear Gel' because I've given you that name yesterday. So from now on,it will be Gel. I know,I know..why 'Gel' right? hmm,it was something that came into my mind at that time,so yalah...now you're Gel.

This morning on my way to work, I witnessed something very amusing. A colleague told me once of someone's peculiar behaviour on the road,but I never saw her in action. But I saw her this morning. She was right in front of me from Hentian Kajang. She is currently driving her brand new SUV. Very chic. Very sporty. But her attitude..hmm..very the not nice wan..

Initially she queued up. The queue was not extra ordinary. In fact it was the usual queue. But, yalah, after a while,she got impatient waiting. Seriously,it was only for a while,less than 30 seconds. Then she got out from the line,and drove straight to the front of the line,while intimidating the first car in the line. Kecian,kecian...dah la kreta kecik,kenak buli by a SUV. According to my colleague, even when she was still driving her old corolla, she did that a few times, at the same junction. Haah,so much for being educated to the highest level..

Well, I bought a pack of choki-choki today. Have not eaten it though. Maybe tomorrow I will. Maybe I'll buy ding-dang or tora. Collect the free toys. Do they still have free toys inside?

Gel, since I'll be with my significant other in due time, I think I'll tell you about him bit by bit. One trait at a time,until the day arrives. So I'll start with this post,okay?

Since I'll be updating you everyday (I hope!), I might as well give you a name so that it will be more mesra.Hmm..what name ah?mmm...I think I'll call you Gel. Don't know why, I just felt like calling you Gel...so from now on,it's Gel,okay?

So Gel..another day has passed. Nothing much to be written today. What did I do today? Nothing much. Where did I go today? Apart from office,it was just the post office. Other than that,nahh..What did I eat today? Beehoon soup, keropok,keropok and more keropoks. And for dinner I ate luncheon meat with rice and fried drumstick. Why is it called a luncheon meat?"Because the British used to eat it during lunch", a voice answered. Hmm,kay lah,kay lah...

Since this is a count down,or sort of a count down, I'm going to make a list of things that I will miss one day,starting from today..so here goes..
