February is almost over and this is my first entry of the month. Seems like I blog at an average of only once a month. Everyday I could think of something to blog about but since I don't have internet access at home, my entries would have to be done in the office or during my weekend trip to kedai kopi yang menjual kopi dengan harga yang mahal. But since I don't drink coffee, I can only buy or enjoy non-caffeinated beverages there. Ironic huh? Hence the affinity towards choc cream chip!! With whipped cream please!!!
How time flies!! Now that February is almost over, it shows that the first quater of 2008 is halfway through. February is a month of kongxi-kongxi where we ushered the year of the rat. I'm a monkey by the way. Since I was born in the year 1980, that makes me a metal monkey, I think? Or so, my facebook application says. February is also a month of love. *sigh* It is good to be in love. Though I'm lacking of it,(lacking here I mean towards a significant other) I do enjoy seeing people who are in love. Envy? Jealousy? Emm, I don't think I have that against them or the concept of love. I'm just happy for them. It is good to feel happy for them, right? I wish I could, but maybe the timing is still not right for me. Hmmm..
Speaking of the kongxi celebration, today, 21 February 2008, I believe is the 15th day of the new year. So that means it's Chap Goh Meh today!! Also believed to be a chinese version of valentine's day for some people, this is the day where people believe when young maidens (or even men perhaps??) throw oranges (or some other things with your contact details attached to it) to the river or sea, with the hope that your true love will come or be unveiled to you. I don't know how true this is, but hey, at least it keeps the hopes and dreams alive for the hopefuls!! Can I throw buah mangga instead since I hace one at home right now?? Hehehe...or does a pre-packed buah pala can be counted as a buah and be used for the ritual? Ahh, that would be funny, throwing pre-packed pala to the river or sea. Kudos to the vagabonds who managed to fish the pack out of the water. They won't sleep with an empty stomach tonight! :))
Still on the subject of kongxi, I went to my cousin's house in Bdr Tun Hussein Onn on the first day of cny. Oh, by the way, she's married to a chinese guy, hence the celebration. She was 8 months pregnant then. Why the use of "was" and "then" you may ask. On the third day of cny, she gave birth to a baby girl and they named her Gloria Magdalene. Oh, what a beautiful sight! I visited them on sunday afternoon. My cousin underwent C-section, since the baby just refused to turn to the upside-down birthing position. Hmm, funny thing was, we (my cousin, her husband, and another cousin still studying in upm) were planning to go up Cameron Highland that weekend. Since I've never been there and it's my cousin's husband's hometown, so I was ever so excited to go there. Fate has it that on the second day of cny, my cousin's mom-in-law was not very supportive of the plan. Yalah, her tummy was H-U-G-E, and still mau pi jalan jauh-jauh. Well, I'm okay with the cancellation. In fact, grateful because if it wasn't for a kata-kata orang tua, we would have to find a bidan orang asli to deliver the baby..heheheh...the baby's father said that! I find it amusing;)
Apart from managing my stress (or loneliness/depression), I think my life is not so chaotic lately. Office life not included!! That is a different story altogether!!!
Mum suggested something. I'm a bit sceptical. I don't know why but I know I have quite a number of issues in my life right now - trust, security, etc. So I don't know how her suggestion would fit into it (or even solve them!). But no harm listening to your mum, kan? After all, she's been by my side, through thick and thin, since I was born. So until something else comes up, I will keep that in mind.
I think I should get myself an internet access at home, so that I could blog more often. Hmm, I really need to give that thought more weight...
